Behind the Why Publisher

Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 1, 2026

Behind the Why Publisher is operated by the Behind the Why channel owner. This policy explains exactly how the application handles Google data when the channel owner authorizes it.

Data we access

The application requests YouTube Data API permissions needed to upload videos, update video titles, descriptions, tags and thumbnails, and manage channel publishing. Google provides an OAuth authorization token, the authorized account identity, and YouTube channel information needed to perform those actions. The application does not request Gmail, Drive, Contacts, Calendar, location, payment, or other unrelated Google data.

How we use data

We use YouTube data only to authenticate the channel owner and operate the Behind the Why publishing workflow: uploading finished videos, setting thumbnails, updating metadata, and delivering publishing status to the owner. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising or personalized advertising, or use it to determine credit, insurance, employment, housing, education, or other eligibility.

Storage and sharing

Authorization credentials are stored securely on the channel owner’s server. Video files and metadata may be sent to YouTube to perform the requested upload. A delivery notification may be sent to the channel owner through Telegram. We do not share Google user data with unrelated third parties, and we do not transfer Google user data to an advertising platform.

Retention and deletion

The channel owner may revoke access at any time through Google Account security settings. When authorization is revoked, the application can no longer access YouTube. Cached authorization data and channel information are deleted when the publishing service is decommissioned or when the owner requests deletion. To request deletion of application-held authorization data, contact neuralfxpro@gmail.com.
